    Problem with MP760 after shock

I guess so, but I don't know. Back to my main problem, I simply removed the sort of attach pad and somehow attached the clip to the other clip (the carriage clip ?) which is above. Now it prints without the black traces ! But there is another problem : there is a lot of branding on the top...

    Problem with MP760 after shock

Well I am glad to say that I have been able to correct the problem. But, as of now, only with a screwdriver stuck into the printer. Let me explain myself : I you look at service manual page 1-25 section 3-3-5, "Carriage shaft clip location", you will see that you can adjust the height of the...

    Problem with MP760 after shock

The display had quit the last time I had to disassemble because of the fog on the back of the scanner screen. When I assembled back, the display never restarted. I checked the display cable, many times tried to plug it in again, with no luck. @qwertydude : if you mean some of these pizza...

    Problem with MP760 after shock

Hello, My wood desk unfortunately fell tonight on my MP760. I had just managed to find a very satisfying calibration, only by eye, and was beginning to truly enjoy it. It was printing a borderless A4 picture, and stopped in the middle when it received the wood (with a CRT monitor on top of...

Little striping problem with Canon Pixma MP760

@bruhowes : Yes I did. Finally I noticed lately that the branding varies from one print to another without any reason. Just to be sure I printed the same picture over and over again with exactly the same settings and I indeed discovered that the branding varies quite significantly. So I am...

Little striping problem with Canon Pixma MP760

I didn't print it full size. ... I tried to clean the printhead with a "nozzle cleaning fluid" (a green fluid that came with a plastic needle) by pouring drops into the nozzles and letting the printhead soak for half an hour. The branding improved. It came back to what it was when I started...

Little striping problem with Canon Pixma MP760

It was printed in landscape mode (not rotated from the way it appears in the post), quality 1, halftoning auto, on plain paper, telling the printer it was professional photo paper. The paper was fed from the back. The color management was totally off. The numbers I get with manual alignment are...

Little striping problem with Canon Pixma MP760

In fact, as I hoped man should be able to see in post #61, there is no striping in blue (there is only a black mark that is not my actual problem), and there is indeed striping in yellow but only when it is darkened, and absolutely not on plain yellow (on the test pattern, it would be, if it was...

Little striping problem with Canon Pixma MP760

Well, that's what I did as well but unfortunately the branding is still too important to give prints an acceptable look.

Little striping problem with Canon Pixma MP760

I tried manual alignment. It helped. Now the condition of the top quality printing of nebulae on photo paper is just inbetween what it was when I wrote post #1 and what it was before I tried manual alignment. I encountered a problem when doing manual alignment : some gray boxes I had to choose...

Little striping problem with Canon Pixma MP760

@ghwellsjr : I think Tin Ho understood that I was successfull running auto alignment, because he says auto alignment doesn't work well even when it is performed successfully, as opposed to manual alignment.

Little striping problem with Canon Pixma MP760

Do you mean several full pages full of yellow ? If yes, is that necessary to use so much ink ?

Little striping problem with Canon Pixma MP760

Hello. Don't be sorry please. Thanks for your help. Here is the extended nozzle check. I noticed black grid is not perfect. Here it is : I'm waiting for you advice until I proceed with other tests described in previous post.

Little striping problem with Canon Pixma MP760

Hello again, I waited for a month or so to get Canon PR-101 paper in A4 format but it still hasn't arrived so, as I quite urgently had to provide pictures for framing, I decided I would try to change the ink cartridges to Canon genuine to see if it solves my problem. What I got is absolutely...
