The newest Epson cartridges that I have seen (69x series IIRC) have a 9 pad interface. Our 7 pin Epson chip resetter does not work with these cartridges.
Another round of overnight soaking and/or a dip in the ultrasonic cleaner is warranted.
As long as the print head has not come unglued, you should be able to revive this cart.
