Thank you very much Ken. Speaking of printheads, I need to go check the availability and price, of a printhead for these printers. I agree about not filling the carts, without removing them. It just seems so easy :-)
BTW, the guy that wrote the review I linked to, and whom I talked to for a...
I just talked with a very helpful gentleman over at the Alotofthings.com store, by phone. He seemed to be completely sold on the HP D73 / 7460 printers.
Now I had said before, that I have been all through the refilling gig, and was really just wanting a good new printer, that used cheap...
Thank you guys.
Chaosoffar, your probably right. But i've been down the refilling path already, and it was just a big pain in the arse. Oh sure, a person could get good enough at it, that it became substantially easier.... but it will never be as easy as > I'm sitting at my PC doing some...
A good buddy of mine was just asking for advice about a new printer, and so of course the first thing I told him was, to make sure he could buy aftermarket ink carts for it.
Now, I believe my Canon iP6000D was just about one of the last Canon's which would use non-chipped carts.
So, for my...
Okay, here's a shot of my nozzle check.... Note, the top two bars are not so noticeably streaky as they appear in this shot, and again, the prints are looking very nice right now. And the paper is not dirty charcoal. I could have adjusted this in photoshop.... But you get the idea.
I will go...
Well hey ghwellsjr ! You certainly sound confident ! :-)
I'm very tempted to buy "yet another" printhead for my iP6000D, just so I can send you my current one, and see if you can get that bottom bar on the Cyan to work in the test print.
And believe me, even if I don't buy another print head...
I've been using Ink Grabber prefilled carts for more than 2 years now. Love the colors, and the price.... But yea' lots of clogging and leaking cart issues.
I use Kirkland Pro Glossy Inkjet paper for all of my photo printing, which is 80% of my printing..... and plain old typing paper for my...
Thank you Steve. Actually, yes I have refilled a bunch of carts (with Colorbat inks), and I became pretty efficient at it.... It was just kind of a pain in the butt, and I always seemed to have a cart go empty, when I was in a hurry, and just wanted to do a couple quick prints, on my way out of...
but first, here are my criteria;
1) It HAS to be able to use after market carts.
2) I'm thinking about something in the $500 range (or less)
3) Of course it needs to be user friendly, and NOT be subject to clogging.
4) It has to be able to use roll paper, so I can do panarama prints, as long as...
well, first off, I want to give credit where its due. The girl over at Ink Grabber is so sweet, and gives such great customer service....
Also, of course Ink Grabber ink is already SOOO cheap compared to OEM carts from Best Buy, or someplace stupid like that, but then, to make it an even better...
Well I haven't been able to post here for quite some time (long story.... loggin issues.... but finally found a work-around).
Anyway, here's my first subject of interest.....
For several months, anytime I do a test print (in the tools section) the bottom bar of Cyan does not print at all...
