Thanks for conducting this test. This - to me - looks like an indistinguishable difference between BEO on or off. At least when it comes to measured L-values. Don’t know if there are 2nd order differences too?

I haven’t experienced that ticking BEO to on makes a considerable difference. I think I will continue to forget the relevance since also your experiment shows the delta is very small..
I’m not familiar with canon, but could be a weaving issue (google : Epson weaving technology print)
At higher higher quality settings the weaving (multiple passes) is more dense and different interference of the drops between the various passes.
