Bad printer head equals no power?

I'm guessing the head just died from natural causes. I didnt do anything to the head like clean it or install it while it was wet. Just simply the printer did not turn on. is ebay the best place to hunt for heads?

Hey Ron350, They turn on fine without the head. Could I have done permanent damage to my printer testing out that bad head? What should I NOT do? Thanks for the quick reply! Looks like I need to hunt down a new head.

Clog or bad print head? IP4500

Ive been trying to clear this cyan clog, I think its a clog, but after doing some reading - this might be an electrical problem? Is it time to replace the print head? Ive soaked the head a couple days in windex...no improvements on cyan.

Thanks Trigger for the information on the heads from Canon. Saving that for future fix! I'm going to do a little investigation on some printers and probably hit you up to see how you like them. Is there one that you can say is comparable to the 4500? I see you have some experience with a few...
