Well a couple days later there is no leakage and the printer is working well. I've taken a couple pictures attached below. I would like to add I installed HPs software bloat package off their website to ensure I have everything but intend to delete it soon. I also disabled the ink level check...
Any tricks for preventing ink evaporation and pigment fading due to exposure to light?
Or is the obvious solution of "Put a box over it and "close the ports when you're not using it" the best options?
Well, just got my new CIS and set it up. This is my first CIS so it wasn't quite as easy as it looks. Removing the chips was a bit of a pain, seems HP has redesigned the cartridges with a lip to discourage chip removal but they provided a nice little mini-pry bar to get them off. Used it to lift...
Sorry if I posted this in the wrong place but wasn't sure where else to put it.
It seems Ink Products is having a half-off sale on a selection of their CIS systems. I've decided to use this as an opportunity to buckle down and buy one for my HP C410a. I am not affiliated with them, just when I...

If I go refillable I'm not going OEM. Just going to use the starter chips and put...
Looked at the links in detail. Thanks Thrilla. I've done more research and I think I'll be getting a CIS. Though I'm going to be turning monitoring off on that for sure. Will also allow me to avoid buying any new carts. I'll just use the chips off the starters.
I'm actually just thinking of buying refillable carts or a CIS for it. If I'm going to spend that kind of money I'm not buying some OEM carts that won't last more than a dozen prints.
And what are the methods you're talking about?
I just picked up an HP Photosmart C410a for 50% off and am considering a Refillable/CIS solution. I'd like some opinions and advice because I'm not even sure which questions I should be asking at this point.
