Getting consistent colors among different laser printers

I am relatively new to the printing/design world and working in a print shop that uses Okis, Ikons, and Dells (along with two canon inkjets, but I'm not too worried about them right now). I would like to expand the number of colors that we offer, but the process of getting all of the printers...

Looking for the fastest Inkjet printer - only needed to print text

Well, we went ahead and purchased the Canon iP4500. It is definitely faster than our other Canon (iP 2200), though the quality of text printing is not quite as good. Even using the highest quality settings on the iP4500, it sometimes seems like there is too much ink being used and the text does...

Looking for the fastest Inkjet printer - only needed to print text

I was wondering - and this is my ignorance coming through - would I be able to use non-Canon ink or different quality options for ink? I just got through with speaking to Canon on the phone. Looking for the fastest Inkjet printer - only needed to print text

Thanks to all for your responses so far!! I'm going to have to find somewhere to check out demos. Like I said, I currently have a Canon Pixma iP6220D doing the card stock that I hope to do with my new printer, but the speed is barely 2-4 ppm and it's killing me. I have a few laser printers...

Looking for the fastest Inkjet printer - only needed to print text

I'm looking for the fastest inkjet printer out there. I'm going to use this printer to print text (only covering about 20%-70% of a sheet) on medium card stock. I am currently using a Canon Pixma iP6220D, which is running at Best quality around 2-3 ppm. I already use a laser printer, which is...
