I read that post. The whole post did not mention how to override the error message.

When the lid does not completely close, the printer pops up "Cover open" error message. Could you tell me where the switch is or how to disable that error message. Thanks.

I just bought an CISS for the pixma mp990. In order to make it works, the lid must be half-closed. But if the lid does not completely close, the printer does not work (Error message: cover open). I couldn't find the location of the switch to turn it off. PLEASE HELP. Thanks. Paul.
