I read (somewhere) that the i960 was the replacement for the s900. Both of these having the 6 cartridges. The i860 (which looks exactly like the i960) is a 5 cartridge printer with one of the 5 being a big pigment Black, and another of the 5 being the dye black (No photo cyan and magents).

Did it myself. It just bends - I was sure it would crack and break, but it didn't. Just fit your hand in under it - bend - and hope for the best... Hope this helps you!

Is the timing strip that bit of see-thru plastic at the front - seems to go from one side of the printer to the other, behind the back of the printhead? Looks a bit like some slightly wider cassestte tape, but without the brown magmetic material on it. What can it be cleaned with - can I harm it...
