My first printer was a STAR dot matrix (which I still have--not working). It had one of those BIG multi-pin printer connections used on old IBM PC's and compatibles. This was back in the 80's. I originally bought it to use my Commodore 64 computer as a word processor, with a B.I. 80 column adapter and B.I. word processing software. I also used it with my second computer, an original IBM XT, their first computer with a hard drive built in.
My second printer was a cheap japanese monochrome laser, maybe FUJI?
My third printer was an EPSON Stylus Photo 1200, six ink printer which I eventually equipped with a continuous ink system from CIS. I think I still have some of the CIS pigment based inks, which, I believe, actually led to the demise of the printer.
My current printer is my sixth printer, an EPSON L-4160.
My current fantasy printer is an EPSON SureColor SC-P600. I would like to get into wide format photo printing again. I don't know if or when I'll ever be able to afford it.
