Foto makes an excellent point: an ounce of prevention... When in doubt as to the vitality of a tank for purposes of refilling, replace it & attempt to restore the questionable tank as your leisure time & interest permits. Good aftermarket tanks can be had for $2-$3 US and ususally this presents...
Hello RedTortoise: First let me say that while "all nozzles" failing seems the worst that can happen, it probably really indicates a less serious problem. It's hard to say without more information - but, first try removing all the cartridges and reseating the print head. It is also a common...
Hello Friends:
Regarding zinc plated screws: As Grandad & Goober suggest, there are a wide range of quality of screws to be found and the following may have limited application. At Rob's suggestion, I have closely examined several zinc plated screws from one of my printers (all from the same...
Re: Inky's experience w/ Fuji Paper - I picked up some on special and the look, feel and finish are exceptional; but, I simply cannot print on it & experience the same problem Inky describes with absorbtion and beading. If anyone knows of a printer setting that works, I'd like to know (rather...
O.K. - Here are some very unscientific results: Using automotive clear (acrylic laquer from my garage shelf of a of an older vintage than I care to admit) I coated 3 identical 4x6 prints - 1) Kirkland glossy, 2) Matte photo; and 3) Nexxtech smooth photo paper. I allowed a mist coat to dry a...
Very interesting subject. I have had considerable success using clear coat automotive paint of the sort that is available in spray cans at auto parts shops, such as Advance Auto, Pep Boys, etc.. When first attempting this, I was surprised that, because of the solvent content, it did not bleed...
Hi Alex:
All is not Lost! As a matter of fact, the news is pretty good. Two quite viable options:
1) There are some vendors in Europe that are even cheaper than the ones in the U.S. I found one example that offers 20 BC-6 cartridges for under 16 Euros + 5 shipping...

You may take a look at this site: http://www.padiscountink.com/ . I have no experience with Epson printers, but I have used their products for other applications with good results and they offer Epson supplies. They produce their own inks and are easy to communicate with. Good Luck.
Hey Rob:
I don't know a thing about that particular camera, but, if it's like most others:
1. set to a macro setting (if one is available) 2. with a temporary light source focus by pressing the shutter button half-way down 3. keeping that position have someone turn out the light - fire away...
Osculate:
If I understand your post correctly: Copy the pattern from:

You can, of course, crop and create individual section images also.
Good Luck,

Wizal:
In order to minimize the chances of a clogged print head in your absence, one way is to use the Autoprint Progran (Freeware) offered by MIS; set to print a full color pattern or other appropriate image at an interval of your choice. Good Luck.

Hello friends:
Staples has an unusual offering through this Saturday (5-7-05). Fifty sheet packs of their house brand "photo supreme" double sided matte paper for $4.94. Really decent paper at an exceptional price; no rebates or limits.

Good question! I was actually referring to the computer software rather than the firmware & I was aware of the release only because I still have the original disc that came with the printer. Perhaps someone out there knows how to easily find the release number. If I find it, I'll be sure...
