So do you recommend buying lasers that use the Brother TN460 cartridge or HL-1240 engine and the Canon ip4500 inket?

Hi everybody, I am wanting to get a new printer. I will use it mostly for school lecture notes, so lots of B&W text and a color diagram about once a week. I have read about CISSs and know they work quite well if you actually do get them to work. But I am also debating about laser printers...
