Hi guys
In the morning, when I get time, i'll do the service mode rest and report back.
I'm just sooo hardcore ;) [and intrigued, which is the main reason :)]
Hi there
Today I went out on a whim and bought 1 new OEM cart, lo and behold it works as posted here
Whomever it was who said that the circuit probably needs 1 fully functioning chip with no warrantly overidden was partly correct no? it seems that the printer eventually reacts after all the...
Hi Again
update
went out and bought 1 new OEM cart on a whim after reading Smiles comments about shorting the circuit.
Pushed the new cart in and viola, it allows you to print again. Tried it with all the carts I have which wouldnt work at all and it seems like it wasnt the chips on those...
See my thread here. I currently have exactly the same problem
I don't believe it's a problem with the connections or with the carts as they all still flash when they're taken out and reinserted again
[although it could be the carts but given its happened to both sets simulatneously, i dont...
Thanks for responding.
Unfortunately for me though, when I get the message none of the carts are lit up, when I take them
out and put them back in, they ALL light up and flash. and when I close the cover and let the printer
do its thing, the error message just comes back, and I still can't...
Hi There everyone, and thanks for all the replies again
Websnail, I'd like to take you up on your offer - this week if possible. I'll pm you in the next few days if that's ok
I'm in desperate need of a working printer asap though, so I'm contemplating just buying a new set of carts now because...
that wiley ip4300
I think we should all join the "1p4300 sucks" club
seems that we're all having issues with it
Logic to me would indicate that if there are problems with the IP4300 in this manner, then surely they would have been even more perfected for the IP4500? Yet I havent seen as many...
Hi there
thanks for responding.
I'd be quite happy to send any UK residents a set of my carts if they're willing to try them. I don't know anyone with an IP4300 unfortunately.
I bought this one in October. If anyone can tell me where to look to confirm date of manufacture, that would be...
yeah, I tried that, and all the other avenues/leads I've seen here, but there doesn't seem to be an issue with that [from what I can see anyway]. If there's a problem with the chip, would the light on the cart still flash?
Also, it seems a little too coincidental that it happens to BOTH sets...
one last point.
To test whether it was a particular cart that was causing problems, when I put my other set of carts in, I replaced each colour one at a time.
ie: swopped cyan for cyan, then tested to see if the message disappeared, then the next colour the same etc etc.
This didnt change...
I guess the next thing for me to do is to buy a new set of OEMs and see how long they last being refilled to see if the problem recurs in the same way, but I really, really want to avoid having to do that due to issues
Hi There
I bought an IP4300 back in October.
I've been using only OEM carts [2 sets] and refilling those via the German method with no problems
Went through the voided warranty 5 sec resume/reset on all carts.
I've probably refilled each cart about 7 times, all with no problems whatsoever...
I'm confused!
I'm doing my research before buying a printer and reading lots of threads.
I was contemplating buying the EPSON STYLUS D92 but you say it doesn't come with separate colour catridges.
But everywhere I look says different. Unless I'm getting my terminology wrong :/
it takes...
