am I correct that a photo printed with dye based ink will fade away and look terrible in a few months? I would hate to print photos and send to family and friends using dye based ink and have the photo not look great in years to come.

I am about to purchase a cis system for my epson 810 and I am confused if I should get pigment or dye based inks. 1. can I use either pigment or dye? 2. I currently do not print my photos on this machine(I use an epson picturemate - the little photo printer). If this machine can work well...
