Looking for a Single Use Printer

Fade resistance for the dye cmy+ pigment black megatanks has been tested here somewhere(will link if i can find it) to be poor(no better than cheap thirdparty ink) so you might want to upgrade to the six-ink units (or atleast switch the inks for the latter) even then fade resistance may not be...

Refilling Cannon cartridge using their ink-tank bottles

I currently have no issues with photoblack(or a working printer that uses one) but im curious about the discussion of x51 series of printers being more susceptible to damage in the photo black and pigment black channels than the earlier x21 printers and its' third party inksets.

Refilling Cannon cartridge using their ink-tank bottles

i wonder if the canon six-tank inkset would have better compatibility for photo black.

(G2010) Is this print head a goner?

It's phrase for something that has gone bad/expired. The replacement heads seems to be cheap enough to stock up on as a consumable.

New Epson ET 8550, Need to Install Drivers for iPad & iPhone

Printer Drivers seem to exist for atleast windows 7 and OSX 10.6 ? Not sure if they actually include drivers for your printer for OSes that old or they only work for older printers that may also be supported by that Driver package. It is probably less confusing even if it is a bit more time...

Urgent: How to Bring Back the Canon MP280 to What It Once Was after CISS Conversion to Get Rid of E14 Error?

I'd probably siphon the ink from the US carts and transfer them to the correct cart (or even transfer the sponges if one is okay about opening and resealing them) rather than try to swap the chips on that kind of cartridge. I don't think people knows where the actual region/level chip is within...

    Question about Chips: CLI-42 Carts

Sorry what i meant was the chip in that style of refillable cartridge with that labeling could still be region specific(atleast if the ARC that was installed at the time i needed 651 cartridges were the originals that came with the refillable cartridge - Had run 2 x51 printers of differing...

    Question about Chips: CLI-42 Carts

If the chip in my cartridge is the original one the chips in that cartridge is still region specific(had to swap from 351 to 651)

Windows 10 driver for Epson CX3600

Version 5.93 from 2013? (64bit) https://download.epson-europe.com/pub/download/3758/epson375860eu.exe (32bit) https://download.epson-europe.com/pub/download/3758/epson375859eu.exe Or is it the "universal printer driver" from january? if it is the former then you'd probably need to try the...

Windows 10 driver for Epson CX3600

For the cx3650 it seems that device specific driver support topped out at XP 64 bit and you can try installing that if you have 64-bit windows 10 or the 32bit drivers with 32bit windows 10 but i'd probably try that first in a VM(with the printer forwarded into the VM) first incase it causes the...

    Canon Pro-100 Firmware 2.041

For the CLI-8 it should take about 13ml of ink or if allowed to be overfilled would stop dripping with 14.4g of ink added to the cartridge. https://www.printerknowledge.com/threads/cli-8-and-cli-521-526-swap.7705/page-8 Not sure if the Canon megatank inks can be used to check and rule out your...

    Canon Pro-100 Firmware 2.041

What does the sponge and the sponge outlet look like when cyan stops printing? If they look pale then the sponge may be having trouble passing the ink through. If you are using the same ink bottle across the three troubled printers i'd suspect the ink may have gone bad from age/storage or may...

Ideas for an affordable Canon A4 printer ?

Doesn't the x51/x71/x81 ink share the same cartridge body? If it does he can use his 271 supplies in a x81(e.g TR8620a) printer by swapping chips. Dont know how the x81 series of printers fare to their outgoing mg5750 in terms of build, functionality, nor serviceability.

Might be time to retire the 5320.....

Worse case scenario you would the need to disassemble the machine to reprime the damper or the inklines(the latter is doable within the printer but wastes alot of ink and waste tank capacity) every once in awhile. For me currently my extra upkeep involves checking every once in awhile the ink...

Might be time to retire the 5320.....

While im happy with my inktank printer i would only recommend it to users that constantly prints heavily and/or technical and patient enough to keep up with their additional upkeep over regular cartridge printers.
