Thats a good deal!!! I just need the print head and cartridges :D The rest I'll use as a chair or a stepping stool. If I cant find a IP3600 locally because they run around 80bucks also
Did you buy yours online or locally. I am on the hunt for one and cant seem to find one locally. I checked all the major electronic stores, they all have the ''newer models'' (The one I run away from xD )
I cleaned it no luck :/ but it was worth a try. Atleast the black still prints lol. Upon that I took the printhead apart (I was curious, after reading Grandad's post I was motivated :D) I took it apart twice and put it back together only thing I notice is the silicone seal inside (between the...
I watched the video. One thing I notice with those aftermarket cartridges with arc, is his light up when he puts them in. Mines didnt but my printer still allowed me to print. I think might of gotten cheap brand its from amazon it was 39.99 it shows up when you type in ''mx870 refillable...
Another observation I notice is my after market ink that came with my refill carts compared to the oem ink. The after market when it dries its shiny and flaky, dipped in distilled water over night it softens but it still together, it dissolves but not completely. When I dip the oem cart plugs...
I havent tried it yet. I'm on extreme budget (very embarassing, I know). I tried putting in the old oem carts but I dont have a chip resetter (I defintely need to order one). All of them read, except for the Magenta, and Yellow. It says: ''Cartridge isnt all the way pushed in'' but its pushed...
Thanks The Hat, I'll keep your advice in mind and I'll follow thru once i get some money saved up. The price for a set of new ink cartridge and new print head its as much as a printer (just $30 dollars more xD) I guess I'll buy me another new printer later down the road and leave the other one...
One more thing to make a note take your time when you screw the screw in the plastic ball with a screw driver and you dont have to pressure hard mild to lightly let the screw do the work. It took me about 60 times of 180degree hand turns before the screw grabs the plastic ball and pulled it out...
I took the plastic ball out by securing the cartridge (I used clams and some wood or something to secure the cartridge) and using a sharp screw (wood screw 6x 1-1/8). You need a really fine screw and a screw driver. If you feel comfortable going this route. I did it on all five of my cartridges...
I too have used a Ultra sonic cleaner. I have a mx870 the colors stop working and also when I do a test print I have missing lines on the pigment black (about 33 broken/missing lines.) Well, after I ran it thru the Ultrasonic cleaner all the lines were restored back to normal but I was still...
