    Canon Pro-100 Support code 4100

I did not do that. It didn't. I've even tried powering down the printer (which I never do), and that didn't clear it. I don't. The cleaning was done for a specific reason: to remedy a print quality issue.

    Canon Pro-100 Support code 4100

Same problem here, but with a PRO-10. (Thought about creating a new thread, but it seems the issue is similar to this one.) Mix of Setup and OEM carts, all refilled and reset multiple times. I've been printing for a couple of days with this set, no issues. Today I pulled up the IJ Printer...

This is annoying: bad IP4300 print head. Replacement?

Actually, I see them fairly frequently on the local Craigslist; checking this morning I found an iP5200 and an MP600, though both are just enough of a drive that I might wait until something closer comes along. Thanks for the info — knowing which other printers use the same printhead will help...

This is annoying: bad IP4300 print head. Replacement?

A year or so ago I found a NIB IP4300 on Craigslist for a bargain price. It was in fact new and unused, and over the time I've had it have printed about 2000 pages. In the last month it's started displaying the dreaded signs of a delaminated print head: the cyan and magenta are getting...

    PRO-100, Magenta hue, even B&W

No. The Pro-100 still uses all of the colors in addition to the grays.

Private label photo papers available in the U.S.?

The only problem is that, historically, I never get what I want for Christmas. :(

Private label photo papers available in the U.S.?

Wow...I'll have to keep an eye out for their sales! (Dear Staples: Please make your 13x19 in satin, like you do all the other sizes...)

Private label photo papers available in the U.S.?

Just checked the Staples site...they're proud of that stuff, aren't they? 8.5x11 gloss is 54 cents/sheet, where the Kirkland is 14 cents. On the plus side, they have matte and satin, where Costco only has gloss.

Private label photo papers available in the U.S.?

You know, I haven't been in a Staples in quite a while, and I don't think I've ever looked for photo paper there. Have you tried it? If so, do you remember were's it made?

Don't be. I should have been clearer.

Private label photo papers available in the U.S.?

Sorry, I think we have a bit of terminology confusion...I wasn't looking for *labels*, rather private-labeled (aka "house brand") photo paper. I'll edit the post appropriately to forestall further issue. But I did learn something — I had no idea such a variety of inkjet media existed!

    Optical brighteners, longevity, and you.

Back in November I mentioned that I was looking for photo papers and preferred those which had lower amounts of OBAs. I'd seen the various tests and opinions from archival printing experts and was worried that the evil OBAs would ruin my photos in a few short years — perhaps even in months...

Private label photo papers available in the U.S.?

Aside from the Costco/Mitsubishi paper, what good quality "house brand" photo papers are available at retail in the U.S.? I keep seeing threads about all the wonderful papers at the various European retailers and find it hard to believe we don't have something similar. We are, after all, a...

Costco (Kirkland) glossy - made in Japan?

Resurrecting my own thread... I've had a chance to print a significant number of images, using the Pro-10 and PC inks, on the Japanese Costco paper. Verdict: it's really quite nice, especially given the cost (got it on special at 9.3 cents per 8.5x11 sheet — 150 sheets at $13.99!) It required...

Decent quality paper for Pro-100 and Pro-10

That's odd. It's common on CL out here, and has been for months.
