I did some gentle stretching/flexing/rubbing of the stained areas after wetting with regular bleach. Not perfect, but almost imperceptible now. Thanks!
These are an excellent idea, can't wait to get my hands on them. Went to purchase the PGI-52* set, but there was no option to add to cart. I assumed they aren't in stock right now, so added to my wish list. Am I correct, or am I encountering an error on the site?
Appreciate the info and impression, glad to hear you had positive results. I decided to pull the trigger on a Colormunki Display that was on sale; can't swing the cost of the i1Display Pro version just to get the software, so hoping that Argyll is as effective as I've been led to believe. (Not...
No, doesn't leave marks on the baked goods, thankfully. I wonder if I could pull that off... "No, really, it was a gift of original artwork all along". I like that idea! :lau
I was cleaning a batch of cartridges I bought off eBay, getting ready to convert them for refilling. They were...
Yes, that's what I tried after soap and water; it got some, but there was still a noticeable stain left. :(
It won't hurt it, eh? Well, I will have to get some and give it a try; we've only got colorsafe bleach in the house right now. Thanks. :)
Protip: make sure silicone baking mats are...
Sorry, guess I was a bit unclear. Ant's post about removing the stains from the silicone seals made me hopeful that perhaps I could remove the dye stains from some other silicone items, other than catridge parts themselves. Specifically a silicone mat that I managed to drip ink onto, thereby...
Thanks all for the replies/ideas.
I was specifically interested in possibly removing dye stains from silicone, like Ant mentioned. While water does remove every trace from plastic, it doesn't seem to work on stained silicone. (As I've found out on a non-cartridge related screwup )
Good...
That's a great idea, never even thought about checking an art shop, thanks!
I agree on the S&H, it's downright dumb sometimes. I went to order a $3 suction cup for a camera rig, free S&H to the U.S., and $14! to ship it to Canada. Ended up getting a family member to order it, and stuff it into...
I see you're a Canuck too, mind if I ask where you got your cleaner from? My local hobby shop doesn't carry it, and I've tried to find somewhere to mail order it, but they all seem to be in the States or UK, with shipping prices 5-6x the cost of the cleaner itself. Sounds like really good stuff...
