Flipping heck this has been a trial...

After incorrect addressing of the shipping box, a week long wait before anyone realised, and finally getting it all sorted I now have stock of KMP ink.

I'll be bottling up over the next few days so it should be available soon...

I'm almost tempted to sell it at $500 a millilitre after all the hassle of trying to get it here though... It'd be easier to the Queens jewels :)

:)
I have tried this new black ink from websnail and I have to give you guys the low down on it.
I put it in a clean 3ebK cartridge to test and was very impressed by it.
It work a treat with great quality prints straight away no clogging, no banding, no head cleaning very smooth. Its the best pigment black I have used yet for the large Canon black cartridges (the quality Wow). :/: :)

This is the kmp-u pigment black that I used. Heres the listing:

this KMP ink is by far the best pigment ink at a very reasonable price. I discovered this ink a few years ago on the german refill site www.druckerchannel.de

I hope now the people in the UK and the rest of the world can enjoy this fantastic pigment ink. Since I live in Belgium I order my ink at www.tintenalarm.de in Germany, because this is nearest reseller for me.

One of the key reasons I decided to stock this was because folks in the USA couldn't find anyone who stocked it or who would ship it outside Europe. So, at present, no, there's nobody in the USA and given the nightmare I went through to get this first shipment I'm not overly surprised... BUT I can ship it to the USA.. *smiles winningly and bats his eyelashes* :p

For what it's worth the shipping costs UK->USA aren't too steep (unless you want a LOT of ink) and I'm hoping sales will pick up enough that I can get a shipping account with the best parcel shipper here in the UK. If that happens the shipping costs will come down too..

Anyhoo, skipping back a couple of posts..

@TheHat: Ah... so that was you ordering was it? :) Glad to hear it's a success...

Do you think it would be worth creating a CLI-8 Image specialists + KMP-U pigment bundle then?

@pharmacist: I hope I can enjoy 15 minutes break before you cause chaos in my packing space :)

Thanks all... I was wondering if this was going to be a success or continue in the disaster vein... *shiver*

I found some pgi-520 & cli-521cartridge tests (OEM and third party) in tintenalarm.de that might be interesting. Maybe the link has been discussed here before, but at least I didn't find it after a brief search.

http://translate.googleusercontent....Tl2p5883N2dLflPKdG4WaLmUw#Text-Druckqualitaet

There are some interesting pdf's with test pages for each cartridge, much like the older "highlighter over text" reviews.

Well, there is one important question: as I don't know what ink references the manufacturers use in their cartridges, maybe the results are not so useful.
So maybe we should stick to the older tests described in this forum such as http://www.nifty-stuff.com/forum/viewtopic.php?pid=19464#p19464 and http://translate.google.com/transla...onen&hl=en&langpair=de|en&tbb=1&ie=ISO-8859-1
