I dont know anything about the quality or source of InkRepublic.com inks but nearly every CISS on the market today
are made in china and they are all (mostly) of good quality, its usually the installer that lets a CISS down.. :(

Yes: the systems are made in Taiwan. Quality is far superior to most CISS system made in China. There are actually NO producers/manufacturers of CISS and/or refillable cartridges in the USA: period.

Image Specialists is made in the USA. But I am not sure if the ink comes from Taiwan. I know the ink quality of Inkrepublic.com (especially the IRK4-nano pigment) is better compared to the image specialists pigment, which has a very good gamut, but lacks that glossy edge only found in original Epson K3 and Inkrepublici IRK4-nano and Inkjetfly's IMA24/36 V3 ink.

Hi alaa945,

I wouldn't worry about the quality of the CISS system you bought. Most of these work just fine as long as a good ink is used. Of course I have found that some systems work better than others and I have my personal preferences which are offered for sale on my own website. However, those differences are very small and should not cause you any grief.

As long as the ink is properly formulated for EPSON printers you will be fine. The proper surface tension and viscosity are required for your system to work correctly. If you find that you have to do too many head cleanings to keep your system working, chances are that the ink is not flowing properly. Otherwise it's just fine.

Color Saturation, good color match and UV resistance is another story. Even if the ink works well, you may not be getting the best colors and UV resistance. If you are just printing business reports, homework or other non-critical printing, then you're ok. On the other hand, if you are printing photographs, you may wish to consider getting high quality ink that is made in the USA, Canada or Europe. This is what I recommend to all my customers.

I have yet to trust any Chinese ink or toner for my products. If anyone has tried a Chinese ink that they could proudly stand behind with confidence, please let me know. I too would love to save money and get a cheaper products if that exists.

Thanks for all, I contacted with inkrepublic and they said it is USA product but they ship it from supplier in Asia as i am in Asia but it is the same.
But now i have Qs

i am still using OEM Epson carts which came with the printer, and daily i print
around 30-50 text paper and nearly 2 photo papers and at least 1 nuzzle check
BUT today i found there is light band while i am printing color text, i did nuzzle
check and found missed one small line in light cyan ????? i did head clean and it
is gone and became normal, i want to tell you that i am not power off the printer
since i bought it (2 weeks), my Qs

1) is this normal that the printer can clog even with regular use and full photo print
and nuzzle check???

2) what can i do else to avoid this clog??

Thanks

After intensive reading and researching on this forum, my options are inkrepbulic and another company (where their system and inks might be from china and I want to avoid that). I decided to order inkrepublic system and the package came from California. I think base on your location, they distribute the packages from different warehouses. Before I ordered this system, I was a little apprehensive of the color matching of the original inks. This is very important to me as the printer is used mainly for printing photographs for general public. But found they were indistinguishable from the original Epson OEM inks. Its an excellent product, backed up by a very quality of inks and great service. I would have no hesitation in recommending inkrepublic system & inks to anyone. expensive? not at all. you dont want to compare such fine product with ebay faulty items, and not to mention they are shipping world widely at no extra cost or free shipping.

special thanks to pharmacist's comprehensive review on all the inks and products. very helpful.
