Inconsistent black, duplexing causing grey-ish blacks?

@geocha: never seen anything like Printfab! Looks very elaborate. By RIP you mean "raster image processor"?

@Tudor: How do you find the option for letting Word do the printing instead of the driver? I'm using Word for Mac 2008. If I use "File>Print" the duplex printing surely goes wrong. Word can handle the printing on my system by clicking the little printer icon or clicking "File>Print preview". But those are not duplex prints. If I check the Preferences panel I can select some printing options like reverse order, but no duplex.

File - Print and I have a few options in the software, before it gets to the printer. Maybe Word for Mac 2008 doesn't have these options. Can you select to print only odd or even pages?
