I'm not going to link to the various sources, but I have found conflicting information on whether or not there are actual chip resetters for these cartridges. Some people are selling them, but of course that doesn't mean anything. Some people will sell ejection seats for a helicopter :) Other sources have stated that the Canon chips on these cartridges are encrypted and that the encryption has not been successfully broken, so resetting is impossible. Granted, many of these sources were rather dated but I couldn't find anything more recent that claimed otherwise.

Can anyone here tell me definitively whether or not I can reset the chips on PGI-220 & CLI-221?

Thanks!

EDIT: Disregard the question. Based on a couple posts on the forum, namely this one , I believe that the cartridges are now being successfully reset. FWIW, nhendrix linked to the resetter at refillbay.com, but I just purchased an identical one on Amazon for $13.48 shipped!

In the improbable situation that you were to fly a Kamov attack helicopter, the ejection seat would make sense :-D

You better hope the rotor blades are destroyed before ejection as planned. Just two more things to fubar you.
