I'm sure after some time, some one will think of a way reseting those chips :)

No this time.........things change.

The only viable solution for these are auto reset chips with refillable cartridges.

auto reset chips ?

I found on the Internet that only when the cartridge had the newest chip, can it be used in all the printer maunfactured before. Is it ture?

No... You still need to have the correct chip type for that printer.

example:

- C88 chip is not compatible with the C84 or C86 printers.
