Hi everyone,
Just found this forum, and is wondering about which replacement pigment ink (i.e. the "brand)works the best for Canon Pixma Pro 9500 Mark II. Anyone here had used any brand with quality (e.g. Inkjetcarts.us) and would like to recommend please, and to share their experience with that pigment ink please? I'd tried both dye & pigment from China's manufacturer that working worst at best - color shift, fade quickly within 1-2 days with dye; while low saturated color, ink can't fully passed through print heads causing bad test print patterns with pigment inks and etc problem... Emm, yes, I gonna fill the ink using original cartridge with re-setter chips. There's no working CISS carts (ink leakage problem persists) for this model (though the re-setter chips work), the one published on internet / alibaba is a failed product.

I don't have any experience with the 9500ii, but I have read that the tanks are opaque. My uninformed speculation is that they would be very difficult to refill. I'm not aware of whether a resetter is available, but I would suggest a search.

To me, pigment ink is better than dye ink for archival longevity. This would be especially true when you are selling the prints, and the buyer has a reasonable expectation of it lasting a long time.

Even so, chemical prints made by Costco using DryCreek profiles would almost certainly be superior in both quality and longevity. That is, unless you are a whole lot better at printing than I am.

First it would help a lot if youd put your location in your signature.
There are two places in the US that I know of to get Inks for the pro9500 that I can recommend.

One is inkjetcarts and the other is Efillinks, they both sell Image Specialists inks
that are designed for the pro 9500, each sell different quantity.

Trying to use dye ink in this printer is a total waste of time and effort
it is only designed for pigment inks and a CISS unit is also a no no, it just wont work at all.

The PGI-9 resetter can also be gotten on the alibaba.com site if you care to look as there are at least a dozen sellers there.
If you do a forum search on the pro 9500 there are lots of refill tips and answers on how to the best out of your printer.. :/
