Looks like Canon's is still playing cat-and-mouse with the new series of cartridges. ..probably changed the chip so that the redsetter and other resetters will not work with this new series.

It would be handy to know if by any small chance, if the new cli-221s and pgi-220s can be reset. If anyone has tried to reset these new cartridges with resetters, please post results here.

Here we go again!!!

By the way, anyone looking for a Canon printer which uses the cli-8s and pgi-5s cartridges should buy one now..they won't be available for much longer.

Just a taught:

Well can anyone answer why nobody reads how many ink you buy when you purchase new OEM cartridges. You certainly weigh your goods when you buy in a grocery store don't you?

And don't forget: those cartridges contain about 30 % less than the previous series of PGI-5Bk/CLI-8 cartridges (27 versus 19 and 13 versus 9 ml) and worse: about the same price, making printing more expensive.......Arghhh......
