MP540 Purge system leakage service manual needed canon MP540 pigment b

dear members,
my mp540 pigment black suddenly stopped printing and when i flooded the black purge pool with alcohol, it can not even stand there for 3 seconds.
i couldn't find it's service manual on the web.please give me a hand if possible.
is there any way that i could make the printer just use photo black even for text pages (maybe through driver settings when i print?)in case of inability to solve the pigment black problem?

It sounds like your purge unit has lost one of the pipes out of the back of it and it will need to be manually connected again,
but first youll have to remove the top cover to get access to it.

You can carry on using your printer by setting the paper media choice to matte photo paper,
it will print a little bit slower but it will still work for you..

I also tried to search for the MP540 service manual, but found no download. I found a download for service manual + parts catalog for the MP560, which is very similar to the MP540 but is a de luxe version with wireless capability.

dear peterBJ i had downloaded mp560 SM from http://elektrotanya.com/ but right cover opening was not the same as mp540 although they are very similar in term of appearance.

Thanks for the electrotanya tip. As the first thing I checked electrotanya but didn't find the Canon MP560 files. I should also have checked for Canon Pixma MP560.
