Hi,

my two years old printer has a very unpleasant defect. In color print I have only stripes from every color cartridge. As on picture.
PGBK cartridge printing well.
I use printer every day, than ink drying is not my problem.

Had somebody similar problem?

Can you give some more details about your setup please because your tinypic JPG is not viewable?

When did you first notice the problem, what make of ink are you using and cartridges,
are you refilling and any more information you can think of providing will help.

Try uploading again or on another website if you can but in the mean time
dont print any more photos till you get an answer to your problem..

Try listing the whole address of tinypic on here and then maybe it will work.
What about more information on your setup ?

Now for the bad news just looking at your nozzle check it has quite a lot of missing nozzles on most of the colours so.
I am afraid your print head is fried and the only solution is to get a new print head..:(

Youll just have to take the chance that its not anything other than your print head,
usually the logic board would cause much more problems too which thankfully you dont have.

What ink and cartridges are you using because they can contribute greatly to the demise of any print head.

You definitely have a periodic problem with your nozzle check. This is VERY strong evidence of an electrical/electronic issue. It could be the print head, poor connections on the ribbon cables, poor connections between the print head and the carriage (take out print head, clean the contacts with dry tissue, re-install), or the Main Board. I agree with The Hat, a new print head MIGHT solve the problem, and it might NOT.

Please try this. Print out a photo in the highest quality mode (unidirectional printing instead of bi-directional) and see if your printer's output result is being affected by the defect. Report what you find.
