Hi All:

In this printer, 3 cartridges are: Black, Gray and Pigmented black.

I'm not using the printer for graphics / art printing, merely for text and simple colour illustrations.

My questions are:

1. What kind of gray inks it? (diluted with water?)
2. Can I use the regular black ink instead of the 'Gray' ink?
3. Same with the pigmented ink: can it be replaced by the regular black ink?

Many thanks

Answer to (1) is no you cant use water.
Answer to (2) is yes and no youd be better using the grey.
Answer to (3) is yes but if youre printing text it would be advisable to stick with pigment black.

Here is a link to a good ink supplier..
