So can we expect some informal light fading tests with this HP bulk ink then? :D

Epson has apparently removed one severe limitation of the current ET-... Ecotank models - no borderless printing which is now becoming available with this new generation.
I recognize that Adorama starts listing these new models already e.g. the ET-7750 with 5 colors and
A3 capability as a photo printer
https://www.adorama.com/ieset7750.html?searchinfo=et-7750&searchredirect=true
https://www.epson.de/products/printers/inkjet-printers/consumer/ecotank-et-7750
so these models should become available on the U.S. market parallel to the European market
and the ET-3750 as well

As an old ink refiller, when this site had different name, tired from ink stained Fingers- what a very real username! - I ask you the Epson master what's the benefit of new Epson printers with 5 inks ( your conclusion that there is no noticable difference between 4 and 6 inks come True? ) and a price of nearly 680€ for A4 prints vs L805 with 320€ or l850 with 375€?

Epson's ET-printers with 5 inks come both with a pigment black for normal/copy papers and a photo dye black for photos - an approach Canon is doing since a very long time. Whether standard inks - without light inks - are considered good (enough) for photo printing goes together with the smallest droplet size apparently dropping for these new models. Whether a printer is good or better for photo printing should be judged on actual print samples beyond comparing technical data.
Epson pricing - a kind of miracle - they need some margin for later discounts - and they know that they will not yield much profit on the later sale of ink bottles.
