CLI 521 chip resetter (pics inside)

Just bought this chip resetter for CLI-521/PGI-521 and I notice there's no access to the battery. Is this resetter disposable? How long will the battery last?

Excuse my ignorance... the battery is actually accessible, just have to pry the bottom off.

Nice to see these Sudhaus resetters look very similar to the older CLI-8/PGI-5 resetters. But soon these resetters will be obsolete since Canon is going to introduce new cartridges with new chips, which will be not resettable with these resetters. So keep your old cartridges !!!

Thanks for the advise. I'm just waiting for my oem inks to finish and websnails inks to come:cool:.
