Hi guys.. I ordered my resetter from bisontec on amazon. Seemed to be the best price at the time.

$12.44 (can't post links yet :p)

It is identical to the ebay one although the picture on the site is different. Also, unfortunately this would have to be pryed open to get to the battery.

I ordered the chip resetter from bisontec on Amazon as well. I will let you know how it works but for $10 I don't really have anything to loose!

I am a bit mystified regarding your reference to outlet port caps not "fitting the resetter".
With my resetter from R-Jet Tek , the outlet port cap has to be off. Works fine once that is done. I would prefer to have the outlet port cap on, but it won't fit that way, at least for me. YMMV. The illustration in the link shows wider PGI-5 carts. There is an adapter for the narrower CLI-8 carts.
