Yup, that's what I actually did. And I was sure that the circuit board is dry of course. So being wet was not the problem that cause the 6 times orange flash?

Thats a lot of bumping..:woot

You are now getting totally different error messages from the printer,
and its telling you that you have a print head problem !

So no matter how many times you clean it you wont stop the error messages coming,
your only choice now is to get another print head sorry.. :(

Yeah, I don't like bumping but I don't have no choice :(

Oh ok, and print heads cost a lot more than buying a new printer, right?!

They most certainly do but what choice do you have, the latest model printer like for instance the iP7250.

Its probably much cheaper to buy yes no dough, but lets see you refill that one;
there are currently only OEM cartridges/inks available at the moment,
which equals up to very expensive to run.

The 4200 printer is well worth saving and if you refill it carefully it will last you for years
which will save you much more that buying one of these cheaper models overall..

Ah ok. But the thing is that I was using this printer for years until now. Are third-party cheap inks dangerous to print heads? Can this be the cause of the damage of my print head?

Also, where can I buy cheap print heads?

The age of the printer doesnt really matter; its how well it was look after that counts (Not abused)

Third party ink comes in many guises, good quality inks like (Image specialists inks)
wont do a bit of harm to your print head, in fact they are specially made for it.

However all the cheapest inks out on EBay cant guarantee that so should be avoided like the plague?

If a set of cartridges or inks plus free postage are cheaper that just one single OEM cartridge
then that is guaranteed to be just coloured water and will only cause you endless trouble.

Now there is no such thing as a cheap Canon print head, you may be lucky and pick up a second hand one in a printer for pennies at a garage sale,
failing that just do a Google search for (Canon QY6-0059 Print head) till you find one that can be delivered to you the cheapest OK..

Oh ok. This is actually what I bought: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001R9ATYK/ref=oh_details_o02_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and I think they were the ones that caused damage?

What are Image Specialists ink?
Ninety-five percent of print head problems are caused by poor ink flow from the cartridges (Ink Starvation)
so that might tell you something.

Here is a link to their website for you to browse

Image Specialists Inks can be bought from http://www.precisioncolors.com and here http://www.octoink.co.uk
