is it true that the canon mp750 is a printer that does not have chipped cartridges and if so is the downfall the fact it runs on pigment ink which is more expensive than dye ink? if so i wish i found out about this printer before i bought my MP600 and one other thought, is it possible to fit a printhead into a printer to convert it from using pigment ink to dye ink.?

No this is nonsense: the only cartridge which uses pigment ink is the BCI-3eBk cart (the thick black cartridge). all the other cartridges uses dye ink (BCI-6), just like the CLI-8 chipped versions. Don't forget that the thick black cartridge PGI-5Bk in your Canon Pixma MP600 uses black pigment ink as well !!!

I would be more than happy if the MP750 really uses pigment ink in all of its cartridges, since this guarantees fade proof pictures.
