Thanks again TheHat, i didnt get my cartridges confused though. I was just pointing out that i had modified the cartridges for my I560 and was wondering what the procedure was to do the same to the cartridges for my MX-892 which uses the 225/226 cartridges.
I understand that it would be difficult to fill them and was thinking of doing it just to see for myself, but with now having to clean out the old ink, drill the holes, deal with them being opaque etc. i will look into getting the 220/221 cartridges and swap the chips.
I did read through that thread about swapping the chips and it looks easy enough. Thanks for posting that.
So if i can pick up the 225/226 used empty cartridges on the cheap and then purchase the ready to refill 220/221 from precision colors along with ink and a chip resetter, i should be good to go.
