The Epson workforce pro 4530 here in Oz has a $100 cashback offer, It seems to have some good features. CISS like stationary cartridges with good volumes (Black ~50mls =2400pages), duty cycle 20,000, 4 colours, duplex printing. user removable maintenance tank. Looking to use in office environment, don't require hi quality printing, just economical reliable hi volume.
There are some refillable cartridges available that seem to have a chip with inbuilt battery that requires shorting with a paperclip to reset. The priming instructions for the cartridge seem to vary, some advise applying a vacuum after filling via exit hole.

Prices for 4 refillable cartridges plus ink vary from $80 to $240. Whats the expected life with the battery?
The after market inks include pigment and dye inks, but are said to be specific for wf pro range. Obviously the pigment is more expensive.
The only experience I have with Epson has been with the TX610FW workforce with refillable cartridges (auto reset), unbearably small capacity needing constant resetting and refilling. Also at times seem to get air in cartridge or printhead that gives incomplete nozzle check and difficult to remedy.
Anyone had some real world experience with such a setup and provide advice on combo of cartridges and ink plus tips to keep this printer WP-4530 running successfully.
