Hi Guys 2 simple questions i hope.

1, I still have some CISS Dye ink leftover from my old Epson P50 that used claria ink too.. Would the Black/Yellow/Magenta/Cyan be ok to use in my XP-700.

2, Pigment ink V's Dye Ink. Will my XP-700 be able to switch between the 2 ink types? IE a CISS Dye Ink setup for Day to day printing then when i want to do a Photo print to frame use a set of Pigment Ink carts then swap back to the CISS Dye set? The only experience i have had in pigment inks was they killed my Epson R285 from head blocks and that the normal heading cleaning solutions are not compatible with pigment ink.

Thank you

hi @doom2

1.) p50 Dye ink would work just fine with the new 6 Color based Epsons 750 and 850 even without profiling but the xp700 would defintely need profiling
2.) the new ink formula for the XP700 change so the new ink have a diffent kind of viscosity they are not that dense as the claria inks. change to pigment ink head troubles are much more expected than with the r285, i use one of my p50 just perfectly with R2400 ocp pigmented inks never needed cleaning or more than one headcleaning to resolve any nozzle issues
