It's a simple procedure and I used to do it all the time. Been a while now so I'm rather rusty. Is this the procedure?

Turn power on, and when motion stops, press the cartridge change button.

Cradle moves to the cartridge change position, disconnect power cord.

Now you can move the cartridge cradle back and forth, freely by hand. Do your cleaning, or whatever you wanted access for.

Move cradle manually back to the cartridge change position, plug in power cord, turn power on (if necessary), and cartridge cradle will move back to its rest position.

Well, I'm not hearing from anyone. So - I guess no harm could be done in trying my procedure. And it worked like a charm! I was going to delete the thread but I'll leave it to serve as a guide for folks looking for how to move the cartridge cradle for cleaning access - or whatever.

All's well that ends well,

Cheers,

Paul
