When i bought an Epson XP-900 about a month ago from Amazon Germany, i immediately noticed that there was ink on the easte pad and some drops in the vicinity. Before i ever opened any of the setup cartridges. WicRest was showing virgin counters. Everything else in packaging etc. looked new too, including install procedure.
I was wondering if there is any other experience for this than this being a printer that was refurbished and re-sold to me without stating it refurbished. I thought that those refurbished products do only get re-sold via Amazon Warehouse Deals. But with Amazons liberal 30 day return periods and low prices i can easily see how they would turn into more hidden refurbishment to optimize profits.
I didn't complain about this because i didn't have the time to resend/reorder and the printer is working fine. Obviously it would have been interesting to open the printer to see how much wasted the waste ink tank really is.
