Just noticed the following:

Users Online Now
  1. stratman,
  2. cmyk
Total: 68 (members: 2, guests: 46, robots: 20)

What the heck are these "robots" and when did Skynet go active?? Are we talking Gort or Terminator here? John Connor and I want to know!

I think most or all of these robots are benign. The"good ones" gather info about website content for search engines. I don't know if there are also "bad robots"? Without the robots you would get no hits for a Google search like this.

If a person was to double click on "Users Online Now" you can watch the Robots peeking at what our forum is doing. Its almost as much fun watching that as watching paint dry!!

Nor would we have the NSA snooping on Frau Merkel's mobile phone. :hide

"Robots" are usually search engines like Google, Bing, Ask, etc. that crawl sites looking for relevant websites to provide people when they type in something like "printer forum" or "how do I unclog my Canon i560 inkjet printer nozzle?"
