I have been using a set of refillable cartridges (from Octoink) for one year and I always had the impression that they become empty too soon, as I'm not printing so much. However, I never counted the number of pages, so I assumed that maybe I'm wrong and this is the normal consumption...
But now, after a month when the printer was not used at all - I was departed during this period and I left it locked, but turned on, in my office - I have found that all the cartridges were empty, almost dry (I had to do a deep cleaning, after refilling, in order to make them work) ! And I'm sure that, when I left, they were at least half full (I visually checked them just before I printed my boarding pass)!
So, is this something normal, or are my cartridges defective?
I mention that I have not noticed unusual leaks after filling them (maybe only one or two drops) and, of course, I never forget to put the caps on the filling holes.
