* More accurate profiles: v6.0 has an updated profile generation
engine that offers improved color accuracy. All profiles (camera, scanner,
and printer) will show improved performance via higher accuracy and
reduced color casts.
* Color Tweaking Wizard: While v6.0 generates more accurate
profiles from the start, minor color errors are sometimes unavoidable
when developing printer profiles for some printers/papers/inks using a
scanner due to metamerism (how the scanner perceives colors for
differing target media under its own lighting). The second part of the v6.0
upgrade will assist users by providing a simpler way to correct these
minor inconsistencies, improving on Profile Prism's already powerful color
editing tool for printer profiles. Use the new Color Tweaking Wizard
(accessed via the wizard dropper on the editor window) to manipulate
colors without worrying about primary colors or color compliments. Does
your printer profile show a slight magenta cast in grays? Simply use the
Color Tweaking Wizard, select "Add/remove magenta", and click until the
real-time preview shows the same amount of magenta visible in the test
print! Repeat this simple process for other colors until the on-screen
image matches the test print, save the modified profile, and you're done!
