Pro 1 Set up

When trying to set up my Pro 1 every thing seems to go fine up to the point that it asks to turn on printer, it then says printer is detected. after a few min it comes up as printer is not detected check the connection.
I have tried on 3 different PC and different USB cables
The printer seems to work fine,
I have installed a full set of OEM carts and after printing around 30 A4 prints the ink monitor is still showing all ink as full, is this correct?

Pro-100 & Brother-L8900
I have similar problems when I re-install my Pro-100 drivers via network, cable or wifi. The only install that works trouble-free is the downloaded Canon install file (not the Windows "add printer") and the direct USB cable connection. After the initial install, I can use the printer via netwok, cable or wifi, or USB.
