Please can anyone help: Service Manual for Canon MG5300 series printer

First let me say what a great forum as a useful source of knowledge help and advice.
Please can anyone help ?
I am looking for a Service Manual for Canon MG5350 printer and I hope someone can help me point to a location or link to download an electronic copy

I have searched for that manual and found none. Be careful, there are a lot of fake sites claiming to offer the manual for download. Instead of the manual you will get some malware. Canon service manuals are .pdf files, so don't download any .exe files or installers.

The MG5300 is functionally very similar to the MG5200 series - the MG5300 supports AirPrint and has a slightly different body shape, but that's about it.

MG5300 Series
Disassembly Instructions

1. Power on; open lid; allow the print head to move to centre position; turn off power at mains.
If it is not possible to centre the print head due to a fault, this can be done at step 8 instead.

REASSEMBLY NOTE - After reassembly, the printer may fail with error code 5100 or 6A81 "Printer Error" due to the print head not moving correctly to the home position. Turn off, turn on, and it should be OK at the second attempt.

2. Remove the paper feed tray from under the printer.

3. Remove the right side panel.
Remove 2 black screws from the rear of the panel.
Pull the panel away, starting at the top rear corner & release 3 clips along the top edge. The front two clips require pressing down with a small thin screwdriver - the position of these two clips is marked by a moulded triangle symbol. Swing the panel off the two clips along the bottom edge.

4. Remove the left side panel.
Remove 2 black screws from the rear of the panel.
Pull the panel away, starting at the top rear corner & release 1 clip along the top edge (located at the side, very close to the front edge, marked by a moulded triangle symbol) by pressing down with a small thin screwdriver.
Support the scanner unit in the open position.
Start to swing the panel off the two clips along the bottom edge. As you do so, the support arm should pop off the scanner unit - if it doesn't, you can release the support arm from the side panel by lifting a clip where the arm enters the panel, which can only be reached when the panel is half off.
Once the side panel is off, remove the support arm from the panel and the scanner.

REASSEMBLY NOTE - Replace the left side panel without the scanner arm. Place one end of the arm in the scanner unit. Press the other end of the arm into the hole in the left panel, where it will clip into place.

5. EITHER
(a) REMOVE THE SCANNER UNIT COMPLETE WITH DOCUMENT LID
OR
(b) REMOVE THE SCANNER UNIT, DOCUMENT LID AND REAR BODY COVER ALL TOGETHER

5(a) Remove the scanner unit, complete with document lid (Hard)
Open the scanner and unclip the protective sheet covering the ribbon cables at the rear right corner. Unclip three ribbon cables leading from the scanner at the logic board end (the middle cable has a brown clamp which should be swung up to release the cable). Very carefully note the complicated routes of the ribbon cables through the top cover. Move / unwrap the ribbon cables out of their slots and tape the magnets to prevent their loss. Lift off the scanner.

ALTERNATIVELY (AND PREFERABLY)
5(b) Remove the scanner unit, document lid and rear body cover all together (Easier).
This instruction replaces steps 6 & 7, and doesn't require unwrapping the complicated ribbon cables at the back of the scanner.
(i) Unclip three ribbon cables leading from the scanner at the logic board end (the middle cable has a brown clamp which should be swung up to release the cable).
(ii) Note that the front half of the body cover overlays the rear half, so must be removed first.
(iii) Carefully support the loose scanner unit in an open position.
(iv) Remove the front half of the body cover (there are two clips to release with a thin screwdriver, low down along the front edge.
(v) Remove the rear half of the body cover complete with the loose scanner (there are two clips to release by fingers, one at each rear corner).

6. (If not done earlier) Remove the front half of the body cover.
There are two clips to release with a thin screwdriver, low down along the front edge.

7. (If not done earlier) Remove the rear half of the body cover.
There are two clips to release by fingers, one at each rear corner.

8. (If not done earlier) Release the cartridges carrier.
Rotate downwards the larger gear (with the timing disc attached) visible at the rear of the printer, towards the right side.

9. Remove the power supply unit.
Unclip the blue/white connector from the PSU.
Working from underneath, unclip two clips (one higher up at the front edge, and one lower down at the rear edge), and slide the PSU downwards out of the printer.

10. Remove the 7 screws holding the printer unit to the base.
10.1 Unscrew the USB Pictbridge board - unscrew the USB board's left mounting screw only.
10.2 Remove rear right bottom screw (close to the back edge, reached by passing between two grey ribbon cables).
10.3 Remove rear left bottom screw (close to the back edge, matching the rear right bottom screw).
10.4 Remove middle right bottom screw ( just behind the rear metal cross frame).
10.5 Remove middle left bottom screw (just in front of the PSU).
10.6 Remove front right bottom screw (just in front of the front metal cross frame).
10.7 Remove front left bottom screw (just in front of the ink cartridge bar, deep down).

REASSEMBLY NOTE - Refit the front left bottom screw first, as it is the most likely to fall and get lost in the printer's base.

11. Disconnect the PSU cables and PSU earths.
Remove the blue/white power connector from the logic board on the RHS.
Unscrew the rear left PSU earth (high up, on the rear of the rear metal cross frame).
Unscrew the front left PSU earth (on the front of the front metal cross frame).
Unscrew the PSU earth from the rear left of the paper feed assembly & then replace the screw so the connecting plate doesn't get lost & unhook the adjacent magnet. NOTE - It is necessary to lift the left side of the printer unit to get access.

12. Final checks before removing the printer body from the base.
The front paper exit tray should be open, to disengage the ratchet on the LHS gear wheel.
Check all wires are free from hooks on the base frame near the logic board
Particularly check the multicolour wires running from the ink tanks which are clipped to the base near the inside of the logic board (it helps if the right front corner of the printer unit is lifted slightly when clipping / unclipping these wires).
Lift the printer body straight off the base.

REASSEMBLY NOTE - Check the plastic sheet around the central waste ink tube doesn't get trapped. Check the white paper exit tray arm (front left bottom) locates properly (may need a push).

13. If removing the ink absorber pads for cleaning or replacement, take very careful notes of their positions while removing. There are many pads and they are all different. You will never get them back in the right positions just from memory!

A couple of pads are trapped by more components which need unscrewing. But these are obvious and easy, so no further explanation in necessary.
