Greetings.. Last year I started a thread where I was looking for high-quality, glossy, inkjet label sheets.

https://www.printerknowledge.com/th...ce-for-high-quality-inkjet-label-sheets.11604

Some time has gone by, and I haven't had any luck getting die-cut sheets from one company recommended in the above thread (Papalio). I've written them numerous times, including recently, but for whatever reason it seems they can't be bothered to help me out.

So, I think at this point what I need are 8 1/2" x 11" photo sheets with an adhesive backing. Preferably the same company could then die-cut the sheets for me, but I'll send them to another company to do that if need be.

I know the sheets I used for a long time had a clay-based coating. I've also read that papers with a microporous coating work well. I'm looking for paper-based glossy labels with a decent weight that leaves a smooth, glossy coat after printing. I've tried so many different papers over the past two years, most companies are using what appears to be the same poor stock I have now (blacks are not deep, colors are not saturated, edges of labels peel up with heavy ink saturation, gloss finish is poor).

I greatly appreciate advice on any papers that meet my requirements, and/or companies that can supply them and/or do die-cutting. Again, I'm looking for inkjet, high-gloss, photo-quality 8 1/2" x 11" photo sheets that I can get die-cut (preferably both from the same company). I go through roughly a thousand of these sheets a year, so I'd ideally being able to buy them in that quantity.

Thank you!

It may be useful to list the products you have tried and not liked so people do not waste time repeating what you already know to be unuseful.

I have tried high-gloss or glossy 8 1/2" x 11" sheets from a variety of the vendors who are highly listed in Google when you search for "glossy label sheets". This includes:

rippedsheets.com (who was my original supplier before they changed papers)
planetlabel.com
onlinelabels.com
labelsbythesheet.com
laserinkjetlabels.com

and others I don't recall at the moment. The rippedsheets.com labels are the now the worst of the bunch, they used to be fantastic. The sample sheets I've gotten from every other company I've tested appear to be identical to the (poor) paper I'm currently using from laserinkjetlabels.com.

Here is rippedsheets.com product, 102700:

Here is the paper from laserinkjetlabels.com:

https://laserinkjetlabels.com/products/blank-laser-inkjet-labels-on-sheets/white-high-gloss-labels/

I've pretty much given up on "high-gloss inkjet labels" and am resigned to using some type of adhesive photo paper, but it seems hard to find that paper at companies such as those listed above (none of them have a photo-quality paper). I'm pretty much banging my head on the wall at this point in frustration.

Paper companies supplying to the printing industry should have some of their papers as adhesive types - like here
http://tecco.de/production/ inlcuding a vinyl type material.
But I don't know whether Tecco is available in your country.

@Mars, the problem you have is you need to get the shoe to fit the foot and not the other way around, the quantities you use are way to small for any commercial outfit to make a specific die to suit your needs.

You need to broaden your search to find more samples that might be suitable for your type of work, or change the cassette box you use to one that has a film cover on it already, then you could print on matte paper...
