Hi Everyone,

I just bought a new Canon Pro-10 printer and, so far, I'm very happy with it. I am totally new to "pro" printing. I am hoping to get an education on its finer points here.

Photography is a hobby, so I shoot for fun - portraits, events, and I'm beginning to dabble in landscape photography. I use Canon photography products almost exclusively. I am looking for less expensive ways to refill ink cartridges and paper stock. Any advice along those lines would be much appreciated.

Regards,

Johnnie

Hi Johnnie and welcome. :)

There are many here whom pride themselves on their photography skills and are fairly good when it comes to getting their prints near perfect also.

We also specialise in the best techniques on good refilling procedures and where to get the best 3rd party inks from.

When you’re ready to field you questions then we will be here to answer them for you as accrete as possible, O’ you’ve come to the right place..

Custom made ICC profiles with RGB print certification so you know were your money went is the proper way to use third party quality inks like OCP, InkTec, Precision colors etc. without any color casts etc. In fact you will get better BW performance than with OEM ink an paper you get now.

I don't see your location so can't recommend any stores for inks.
Using OEM papers is obviously the correct choice excluding one variable out of puzzle to get great prints.

Just update my profile. I live in Fort Washington, MD, which is a suburb of Washington, DC.

If you are from US, the Precission colors are good choice. Perhaps others can suggest other US brands. I'm from Europe so as far as e-shops go I don't know much for US market.
