Could it be that there is a version conflict - V.2 or V.4 or V.4.1 are quite typical for icc/icm profiles , and not all applications and printer drivers can handle both ; V.2 is still very popular, but even not all V.2 profiles are alike, there is a proprietary section and additional data can be embedded.

OK, I was not aware of versions - color management is fairly new stuff for me. I tried to merge to profiles and, yes, they have different versions. The one that is crashing the system is 4.2
Code:
$ file r2000luster290118rkin.icc
r2000luster290118rkin.icc: ColorSync color profile 4.2, RGB/Lab-prtr device by XRCM, 2137424 bytes, 29-1-2018 16:47:21, 0x2 vendor flags, 0x7d2b68f178fd2d66 MD5 'r2000luster290118rkin.icc'
localhost:/home/przemo/Pictures/print_script
[..]
20200122_160802.icc: ColorSync color profile 2.1, type lcms, RGB/XYZ-mntr device by lcms, 9044 bytes, 8-6-2020 17:34:18, embedded "sRGB"

So possibly the 4.2 version is too new to be handled by my software. Thank you!

Is it possible to convert them to another version?

I'm not aware that versions can be recalculated, you may ask Marrutt whether they have another/earlier version available. Profiling software uses scanned data of color patches , and the software can be set to calculate the profile as V.2 or V.4
