Hi there,
I arrived at this site while troubleshooting my shiny Pixma Pro-1 that I picked up for a bargain on craigslist. (or so I thought). I am very grateful for all the great info I'm finding here.
I probably started like many others here. .. slowly but surely, I slipped into the slippery slope of researching ways to run the machine less expensively. buying inks, syringes, chips, and getting my hands inky.
Again, I'm very grateful for the contributors here and awesome tutorials. and very disappointed at Canon for deliberately designing a printer that can't run on it's own for long before forcing the user to buy all new cartridges, or call their service.
Nicely done Canon. Sorry for the rant.
(WHere are the open source 2D printers?!?!).
