About 8 miles go there regularly, why leave?

Well, I nearly ended up moving out to Canada when I was 18 but that was a looong time ago. Ultimately I went to University up in Sheffield, liked the area, didn't have the money to return (even less so now!) and of course met the girl, had the family, etc..

Whitstable now is predominantly very rich Londoners and begrudging locals although my mother's still down there.

Where in S Yorks are you - I spent some time in Doncaster!

Close to Barnsley now, about 10 or so miles from Doncaster. Not that I'd particularly want to move closer to that hellish traffic system!
