Hello everyone, can Canon print head qy6-0055 be installed on pro9000 mark2? pro9000 mark2 should be installed with model qy6-0076 print head, but I found that qy6-0055 and qy6-0076 have almost the same shape and number of nozzles, I got several qy6-0055 and want to install them on my other pro9000 mark2. is it OK?

QY6-0055 was the original printhead of the Pro9000 when it was relesed. Later on it was replaced by the QY6-0076. Possibly they changed some internal components but in terms of use for the customer, there's no difference at all.

BTW.
I guess that your QY6-0055 printheads are refurbished units from China but if, by any chance, they were really new units, sealed in boxes coming from a genuine Canon dealer, consider yourself lucky. This printhead is nowadays more scarce than common sense and honesty in politics.

Thank you for your answer! Are you sure qy6-0055 can be installed on pro9000 mark2 right? (Note: pro9000 mark2), if so that would be great!

I purchased a total of four, two of which should be new and two used, and I am going to clean the used ones with cleaning solution.

Sorry to rain on your party, while the QY6-0055 will fit into the 9000 but it still wont work, I sent a 0055 head to someone who has a Pro 9000 mk2 and it fail to print, but when I sent the 0076 it worked perfectly, both of these print heads worked in my i9950.

Save yourself the trouble of cleaning or anything else, the 0055 head just don’t work…

Thank you for your reply! Hope has turned into disappointment . I actually wanted to test it out but was afraid of breaking the logic board. These printheads were purchased at a very cheap price, so there should not be much damage, so should I go find an i9950 to use these printheads.

These print heads you purchased have all been tested so they won’t damage the logic board on your printer, they may not work but their safe to test.

That would certainly be a surprising find, the i9950 are the older model of the Pro 9000 and don’t use chips on their carts.. but are as scarce as hens teeth..;)
