i'm a technician having some trouble with 2 epson wf 8510's

the first one
is giving me a 0x9A error i have changed print heads and its cabels but still givivng me the error so now i suspect the main board is the issue but i'm not fluent in micro electronics i know baisics but have fialed to find the issue. replacing it with a new one is a non starter as we donot have epson support in our country so i HAVE to repair

the second one
is showing a phantom paperjam in the main unit message is ''PAPER JAM IN A''
but there is none have repaces the sensor and the motor from another machine but still is giving me the same issue

thanks in advance for help on these deamon machines

It may be of help to get a maintenance manual e.g. available at 2manuals against a charge. There may be other sources free or at lower charges - I don't know.

hi Ink stained fingers

thanks i have a the maintenence manual but there isnt much info on both issues
0x9a
• Main board failure
• Power board failure
• Printhead failure
• Printhead FFC failure
not very comprhensive as say a canon service manual

and the other just refers me to troubleshooting guide with no actual soulution

would you happen to know where i might be able to get my hands on a detailed schematic of the main board

If those details you are looking for are not covered in the maintenance manual then I wouldn't know where else to look for . If Epson thinks this level of debugging should not be done in the field they don't publish the necessary details, circuit diagrams, signals at test points, firmware code etc. It may help in some cases, and if possible and available, to compare some signals at a working unit to those at the defect unit with this failure code . I regret I wouldn't know how to proceed from here.
